REACH Academy Charter School is seeking a full-time Building Substitute Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. This individual will play a vital role in maintaining instructional continuity by covering multiple short-term leave positions across Grades K-8. The ideal candidate is flexible, dependable, and enthusiastic about working with scholars of various ages and academic levels.Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality instruction in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.
- Follow lesson plans and classroom routines as outlined by grade-level teachers.
- Support the academic and social-emotional development of students.
- Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and school leadership.
- Maintain a positive, structured, and respectful classroom environment.
- Participate in school-wide professional development and staff meetings as needed.
- Bachelor's degree required; NYS Teaching Certification preferred.
- Prior classroom or substitute teaching experience strongly preferred.
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.

- Our school days runs for 6:50AM - 2:30PM (one day a week until 4:00 for planning)

- We have a very competitive salary scale that pays the same or higher than most local districts. Our starting salary for a building substitute is $40,000
- REACH pays 80% of health, dental and vision coverage. The Employee pays 20%
