Growing together.As a Broker Agent Service Specialist, you will handle incoming inquiries from customers (external/internal), which require analysis that results in processing system transactions to update commission payment records within established guidelines.This position is full-time (40 hours / week), Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (local time zone).We offer weeks of on-the-job training. The hours during training will be core business hours from Monday - Friday. Training will be conducted virtually from your home.You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for comprehending the unit policies and procedures to process and maintain complex Producer commission payment records while ensuring a high level of customer service and maximizing productivity
  • Work queue Assigning - handling multiple Microsoft Outlook mailboxes
  • Provide sales support and administrative services to non-employee sales producers such as broker agents, field marketing organizations, and independent contract agents
  • Ensures proper completion of contracts, marketing agreements, and documentation of sales targets
  • May administer programs and monitoring to ensure compliance with external agent credentialling and training requirements
  • Acts as internal liaison and customer service resource for external producers relative to enrollment and policy questions, systems issues, and coordination of materials fulfillment
  • As one aspect of broader support role, may manage administrative aspects of commission payments such as routine tracking, reporting, and troubleshooting issues relative to missing or disputed payments (Jobs focused on agent incentive design belong in human capital, and jobs focused primarily on payment decisions and non - routine sales analysis / reporting belong in Finance)

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • 1+ years of customer service experience
  • 1+ years of experience with a high volume of data entry for handling creation of work assignments
  • 1+ years of experience working at a high volume of inquiries
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel (creating and pulling spreadsheet reports, VLOOKUP, pivot table and creating formulas)
  • Access to a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
  • Ability to work an 8 - hour shift between the hours of 7:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Business, Finance, Accounting, OR 4+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting experience
  • Prior Broker Service and Commissions experience
  • Healthcare Insurance experience
  • Presently employed within UHC Operations & Experience. Those currently employed outside that unit will not be considered
