
Laborer

- Perform tasks involving physical labor on the project
- Assist concrete, drainage, and retaining wall crews where needed
- Load and unload material
- Flagging traffic passing near, in, or around work zones
- Control set-up
- May operate hand and power tools
- Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards
- Perform work in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, wind, etc.)
- Adhere to all safety guidelines set forth in the company’s safety program
- Lifting, pushing, and/or pulling items up to 50 pounds
- Perform other labor-related duties as instructed by the supervisor
- At least 1-year heavy highway, road, concrete, form setting, or bridge construction laborer experience
- Physical ability to perform assigned tasks (lifting to 50 lbs, bending, stooping, climbing, standing, etc.)
- General labor skills
- Basic knowledge of operating hand and power tools of all types
- Knowledge of operating a variety of other equipment and instruments is a plus
- Flagging and Traffic Control certification a plus
- Previous flagging and traffic control experience
