SummaryPosition SummaryUnder the direct supervision of pharmacists, this entry level position is responsible for performing all of the functions of a pharmacy technician including maintaining Pyxis, preparing IVs and other admixtures, pre-packing, filling, loading, labeling, maintaining inventory, maintaining computer records, generating reports, restocking, debiting, crediting, maintain emergency boxes, and prompt medication delivery.   • Preparation and delivery of IV admixtures and other medications as related to routine and new orders. Maintains adequate par levels of medications/supplies. Assists in maintaining IV automation systems.
  • Preparation of IV admixtures and maintenance of IV automation systems. Repackaging process for unit dose medications. Performs charge capture, reconciles discrepancies and issues credits.
  • Solutions are prepared, labeled and available according to policy guidelines and physician orders. Assures that aseptic technique is followed during preparation.
  • Identifies, quarantines and restocks outdated or contaminated pharmaceuticals. Maintains adequate par levels of fluids in main pharmacy.
