In this role, you will be a key member of the RM modeling system engineering team working on modem systems features and requirements.Description- Model, design, and simulate state-of-the-art RF for 4G/5G/6G modem wireless communication systems. - Implement system models and perform detailed performance investigations to allow performance sign-off. - Collaborate with RF systems and analog circuit designers to capture designs and develop models. - Develop AI/ML modem solutions and mitigation techniques.Minimum Qualifications
  • BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience
  • Deep knowledge of signal processing and communication systems
  • Strong analytical skills (linear algebra, random processes, detection and estimation, etc.)
  • Strong background in AI/ML and familiarity with the tools such as PyTorch and TensorFlow
  • Experience with Matlab, C/C++, Python for algorithm development.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with AI/ML applications in wireless communication is strongly desirable.
  • Familiarity with RF impairments (phase noise, DC offset, IQ imbalance, inter-modulation, etc), their impact on modem performance, and RF mitigation techniques.
  • Knowledge of RF/analog components (LNA, filters, mixers, ADC/DAC), digital front-end processing, automatic gain control.
  • Knowledge of cellular communication standards: 5GNR, 4G LTE.
  • Knowledge of RF systems and design flows with hands-on experience in lab testing & characterization.
Pay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
