What You Will Do:The Assembler I performs tasks that are necessary to the production process by independently aiding in the fabrication, inspection, and packaging of component parts and products.
  • Pull parts to assemble, test, and skid/pack per drawings, specifications, and procedures.
  • Assemble finished products from blueprints to the specification indicated on the blueprints.
  • Prepare units for shipment. Construct skids and boxes as required. Paints, stencils, and affixes nameplates as required.
  • Maintain tools and equipment provided for the assembly operations.
  • Maintain work area in an organized manner.
  • Comply with all the ISO 9001 Quality standards, policies, and procedures of API.
What You Bring:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude and a functional knowledge of hand tools.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use tape measure.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Physical Requirements for Manufacturing Production Employees * Standing:Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8–12 hours per shift). * Walking:Frequent walking throughout the production floor. * Lifting and Carrying:
  • Regularly lift and carry up to 25–50 pounds.
  • Occasionally lift heavier items (up to 75 pounds) with assistance or equipment.
  • Pushing and Pulling:
Use of manual or mechanical means to push/pull carts, equipment, or materials. * Repetitive Motions:Frequent use of hands and wrists for repetitive tasks (e.g., assembling, sorting, packaging). * Manual Dexterity:Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to handle small parts or tools. * Climbing:Occasional use of ladders or steps to reach equipment or storage areas. * Visual and Hearing Requirements:
  • Sufficient vision (with or without correction) to read labels, safety signs, and equipment gauges.
  • Adequate hearing (with or without aids) to respond to alarms and verbal instructions in a noisy environment.
  • Environmental Tolerance:
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures (hot, cold, or humid conditions).
  • Exposure to noise, dust, odors, and manufacturing chemicals.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
