Early applications are encouraged.Join Our Team at Interpath Laboratory in Portland, OR!We are looking for a friendly and customer-service-oriented Courier with a clean driving record to enhance our team.Pay: $17.00 - $21.67 per hour DOESchedule: PRN-As NeededLocation: 720 NE 181st Ave. Suite AIn this role, you will:
  • Coordinate timely and efficient transportation of medical specimens and supplies.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and employees.
  • Maintain cleanliness and perform maintenance on company vehicles and transport devices.
  • Ensure compliance with confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
  • Document operations and complete necessary reports.
  • Assist with training and communication among couriers and relevant departments.

  • Strong preference for candidates with previous driving/courier experience

General Physical Requirements:Frequent lifting up to 30 lbs. Occasional lifting of 30-60 lbs.Ability to enter and exit assigned vehicle. Able to sit in vehicle/drive for up to 4 hours nonstop.Ability to load & unload assigned vehicle, with frequent bending involved.Ability to wear personal protective equipment as needed.Regularly handle potentially infectious samples.Ability to drive assigned vehicle in all types of conditions, including built-up areas, freeway, and rural traffic, hours of darkness, and inclement weather.May be exposed to odorous chemicals and specimens.Occasional-to-regular kneeling, bending, stooping and twisting to perform vehicle inspections and minor operator maintenance, including changing tires.OHSA Category: This position performs tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids and/or tissues.
