RaceTrac Company OverviewJob Description:The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for designing, installing, configuring, analyzing, and maintaining RaceTrac’s local and wide area networks, servers, systems, storage, messaging infrastructure, and subsystem in a team environment. This individual serves as resource in the Network Operations Center for supporting project workload requested by departments within Information Technology. The Network Engineer monitors the performance of systems for timely completion of assigned technical infrastructure projects.Responsibilities:
  • Designs, executes, and documents project plans for various network infrastructure projects.
  • Administers aspects of Microsoft Active Directory, especially effective use of security groups and group policy objects to support desired outcomes for various projects and support requests.
  • Installs, supports, and maintains hardware and software infrastructure according to best practices.
  • Designs, implements, and maintains virtual systems in VMWare virtual environments
  • Implements and maintains the physical infrastructure underpinning the virtual environments
  • Researches emerging technology trends in order to make recommendations.
  • Implements the necessary controls and procedures to protect information systems assets from intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure, or destruction.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field preferred
  • 4-7 years’ experience in a related field preferred, must have worked in PCI compliant environments
  • Technical certifications (Microsoft, VMWare, Cisco, NetApp) are a plus
  • Experience with virtual infrastructure, particularly VMWare 5 and above, is preferred
  • Experience with configuration and maintenance of NetApp storage systems is a plus
