- Assist with rack fabrication and assembly
- Cable fabrication
- Light metal working / carpentry
- Wiring / labeling
- Documentation of equipment details
- Testing and QA of racks, displays, speakers and other AV equipment
- Prepping equipment and hardware for shipping to job site
- Equipment repairs, helping to manage RMA and warranty repairs
- Field Technician
- Field wire and equipment installation
- Documentation of site conditions
- Assist others in field installations
- Commission and test
- Training end-users in the use of installed equipment
- Perform service calls including - event support, preventative maintenance, end user training
- Basic programming of A/V systems including Dante, QSYS, Crestron, ClearCom
- Maintaining a clean work environment in the shop and on the job site
- Loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner
- Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete
- Travel to job sites, both local and out-of-state
- Working occasional nights and weekends
- Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles
- Adhering to assigned routes and following schedules
- Operating equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, scissor lifts, chain motors, etc.
- Assisting shop and warehouse personnel with inventory management, shipping and receiving
- HS Diploma or GED and either a bachelor's degree and 2 years of related career experience, or 5+ years of experience as an AV technician
- Certification and/or extensive experience with: QSC QSYS, Biamp Tessira, BSS Soundweb, Dante, basic networking, Shure Wireless Workbench, ClearCom, Crestron, Ross Video equipment, Hitachi, and Panasonic cameras, PTZ, Yamaha and Allen and Heath audio consoles, D&B R1 and ArrayCalc, EAW EASE/Mosaic, Rational Acoustics SMAART
- Ability to read and understand shop drawings, signal flow diagrams, wire schedules, etc.
- Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools to perform light carpentry and metal work
- Knowledge of low voltage wiring
- Working knowledge of video wall technology
- Ability to terminate audio, video, and network cabling in the field
- Entertainment event production experience
- OSHA 30 training
- Reliable transportation
- Clear communications and time management skills
- Willingness to travel including out-of-state and overnight runs of several days or more
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
