Great company. Great people. Great opportunities.The role of the Modular Project Manager is to be the single point of contact for all large modular projects and complex modular installations. Reporting to the Region Operations Excellence Director, the Modular Project Manager will take all leads that fall into the “large modular” category (primarily 5-plex and larger) from the initial quote, contract negotiation, installation project management, rental term customer service, demobilization project management and conclude with the remarket strategy. This position ensures World-Class customer service and satisfaction through timely and efficient quotations followed by a single point of contact for our customers to rely on throughout their entire rental experience.Quotations
  • Provide a thorough, detailed and accurate quotation.
  • Work with the local branch team to determine the appropriate vendors to properly build the quotation.
Project Management
  • Hire and manage all vendors during installation and demobilization as well as service vendors throughout the rental.
  • Ensure all project specific safety protocols are followed by all United Rentals staff as well as all vendors performing work on behalf of United Rentals.
Remarket Modular Buildings
  • Assist the Regional Operations Excellence Director, Region Sales & Marketing Director and Region Product Development Managers to remarket all modular buildings through effective communication of availability timeline, floor plans, state codes and other pertinent information.
Presentations
  • Initiate modular project presentations that highlight the variety of options this product line offers our customers as well as United Rentals capabilities (both internal and external customers).
Training
  • Assist the District Managers and Branch Managers in training the Mobile Storage branch network on the Mobile Office and Modular Building product line.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business preferred
  • Formal Project Management training preferred
  • OSHA 10 & 30 preferred
Experience
  • Modular building sales and project management – Required
  • Familiarity with the Industrialized Building System code – Preferred
  • TWIC card – Preferred (To be required after hire)
  • UR systems proficiency – Preferred
Other Skills Required
  • Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and planning
  • Proficient in MS Office and PowerPoint
  • Strong presentation and contract negotiation skills
Working Conditions
  • Extensive time spent on construction sites actively managing modular installations and removals, outside in the elements.
