- Supervise and manage a team of microbiologists, providing guidance and direction to ensure the team meets project timelines and goals.
- Develop and implement microbiological protocols and procedures in accordance with EHS and IRB rules and regulations.
- Train team members on microbiological techniques, including aseptic technique, cell culture, and molecular biology.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of the microbiology laboratory, ensuring that equipment is calibrated and maintained properly.
- Perform microbiological experiments and analysis to support ongoing projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support R&D, manufacturing, and quality control activities.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate research findings.
- Ph.D. in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a microbiology research or development environment, with at least 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Expertise in EHS and IRB rules and regulations.
- Experience in training team members on microbiological techniques at BSL2 level.
- Strong background in microbiological techniques such as aseptic technique, cell culture, and molecular biology.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop creative solutions.
