This role ensures compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and customer requirements, while leading and supporting drivers and transport staff to achieve operational excellence. By maintaining high standards for service, safety, and teamwork, the Transportation Supervisor plays a key role in supporting on-time airline departures and customer satisfaction. This position is based in the heart of Des Plaines at 200 E Touhy Ave, Des Plaines, IL 60018.Compensation & Benefits

Main AccountabilitiesLead, schedule, and supervise transportation staff to meet operational and safety goalsMonitor fleet operations to ensure on-time, accurate, and secure deliveries to aircraftEnforce DOT, OSHA, and company safety regulations at all timesCoordinate with operations, warehouse, and airline partners to resolve service issues quicklyMaintain accurate records of routes, schedules, and driver performanceConduct training, coaching, and performance evaluations for team membersEnsure proper maintenance and cleanliness of vehicles and equipmentRespond to operational challenges and implement solutions to prevent service disruptionsKnowledge, Skills and Experience2+ years of supervisory experience in transportation, logistics, or related fieldExperience in airline catering or airport operations a plusHigh school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferredKnowledge of DOT regulations and safety compliance standardsProficiency with scheduling systems and Microsoft Office applicationsStrong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple prioritiesPhysical ability to work in a ramp/warehouse environment and lift up to 50 lbsLSG Sky Chefs is an EEO and Affirmative Action Employer of Women/Minorities/Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.
