- Oversee all aspects of accounting operations including General Ledger management, cashflow maintenance, financial reporting, and staff supervision.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts, performs additional reconciliations as needed.
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to owners to support decision making
- Manage relationships with external financial partners, brokers, and tax firms/CPA.
- Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations
- Oversee the timely processing of payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payment of employees
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team & establish clear goals and objectives
- Develop and implement best practices for financial processes and systems
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 5-7 years of full-cycle accounting experience within a construction or related industry
- 1-2 years HR experience within a small company environment or equivalent
- Management experience required
