- Data Application Layer Ownership:
- Understand how applications interact with databases. Lead data modeling efforts and collaborate with architecture and development teams on both logical and physical database design.
- Database Performance Management:
- Develop performance benchmarks, conduct performance testing, and optimize SQL queries and database configurations.
- Data Management Across Environments:
- Manage and synchronize data across development, testing, and production environments, including migrations between different database platforms.
- Database Design Standards:
- Enforce consistent design conventions and create optimal data models tailored to specific requirements, including normalization and denormalization strategies.
- Application Design Collaboration:
- Work closely with developers to address issues related to application design, data modeling, access, and reporting.
- Development Process Integration:
- Utilize version control for databases, automate deployment processes, and implement standards and procedures for database changes and upgrades.
- Troubleshooting and Debugging:
- Diagnose and resolve database-related issues, and tune systems for improved performance.
- Continuous Learning:

- Leadership and Mentorship:

- .Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
- 5-10 years of professional experience
- Strong SQL expertise
- Hands-on experience with Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL
- Familiarity with both Windows and Linux environments
- Quick learner in dynamic settings
- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Groovy
