Sign-On Bonus: Not offeredJob DescriptionAbout the OpportunityWe are currently seeking an experienced Director of Emergency Services to lead clinical and operational functions within a high-volume Emergency Department in Houston, TX. This full-time leadership role offers the chance to drive excellence in patient care, staff performance, and departmental outcomes.As the Director of Emergency Services, you will play a critical role in guiding a team of approximately 60 full-time employees (FTEs), ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and aligning the department’s performance with hospital-wide strategic initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily operations of a 28-bed Emergency Department with an average of 130–150 patient visits per dayLead, mentor, and develop nursing staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered careMaintain and enforce clinical standards and evidence-based practicesEnsure compliance with all regulatory, hospital, and safety policiesCollaborate with executive leadership to support organizational goals and patient outcomesMonitor departmental performance and manage budgets, staffing, and improvement initiativesFoster a positive, accountable work culture focused on employee engagement and service excellenceParticipate in hospital committees and strengthen cross-functional communicationQualificationsMinimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Director of Emergency Services in an acute care setting
