SummaryThe Dining Room Supervisor plays an integral role in the success of our team, our community and creating a place our residents are proud to call home.The primary purpose of this position is to ensure a quality dining experience by greeting and seating residents and guests, overseeing dining room staff and maintaining a pleasant and clean dining environment.Essential Job Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the daily operations of the dining room. Ensures smooth and timely opening of the dining room, including the facilitation of the pre-meal meeting. Inspects cleaning and closing of the dining room.
  • Provides supervision for special functions
  • Greet and seat residents and guests.
  • Ensures consistently high quality customer service in the dining room.
  • Assists the dining service manager, hiring, training, disciplining and terminating employees.
  • Maintain a work environment that is clean and presents a professional image.
  • Attend and participate in in-services as required by federal, state, and company requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Ability to understand and communicate written and verbal directions
  • Regular attendance, reliability and punctuality is necessary
  • Ability to work nights and weekends, upon request
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed
  • May be responsible to work on an on-call basis
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Well organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Aptitude to work independently with excellent time management skills
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Supervisory experience in food service
