Wilkes University invites applicants for an open Studio Art & Watercoloring high school teaching enrichment position in the Upward Bound Program for the summer session. Upward Bound is a federally funded Trio Program, which provides support to participants in their preparation for college and ultimately, in their higher education pursuits.The successful candidate is responsible for implementing the enrichment component of the Program by introducing fundamental concepts and mediums of Studio Art, instructing watercoloring projects, and teaching various art techniques to a small group of high school level students. A Bachelor's degree in Art, Education, and/or a related field is required.Please note that this is only a part-time/temporary position with a competitive hourly wage. Dates run from June 17th through July 25th and classes are held throughout the week, Monday - Thursday (1:15P.M. - 2:30P.M.).
