- Operation and Monitoring: Operate and monitor high-pressure steam boilers, feed pumps, circulating pumps, and water softeners to maintain a constant steam flow and ensure optimal performance.
- Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on boilers and auxiliary equipment, including testing and treating boiler water, adjusting chemical treatment programs, and ensuring all equipment operates safely and efficiently.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, maintaining a clean and orderly boiler room, and assisting contractors working on boiler room and building equipment as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of boiler operations, maintenance activities, water treatment logs, and any incidents or irregularities.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to any boiler system emergencies, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Collaboration: Work closely with maintenance teams, facility managers, and other departments to coordinate activities and support overall operational goals.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in boiler operation and maintenance within an industrial or commercial setting.
- Licensure: Possession of a valid [State] Boiler Operator License or equivalent certification.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating and maintaining high-pressure steam boilers, understanding of water treatment processes, and familiarity with energy management systems.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform tasks that require physical strength, such as lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certifications in boiler operation and maintenance are preferred.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to maintain detailed logs and collaborate effectively with team members.
