- Performing electrical engineering analysis related to ongoing Exponent consulting work in a broad range of fields including power systems, power electronics, renewable energy, battery systems, residential, commercial, and industrial equipment, control systems, consumer products, and electrical safety.
- Leveraging your overall problem-solving skills and your deep expertise in electrical engineering or your related discipline to solve difficult technical challenges such as: determining why a system failed, how equipment can be made safer, and how products can perform better.
- Designing and executing testing and analysis programs in both laboratory and field settings.
- Communicating technical information to diverse audiences; including authoring technical reports and proposals, and presenting technical information and guidance to clients.

- Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Power and Energy Engineering, Physics, or other related discipline.
- Hands-on experience with electrical systems and equipment, power and energy systems, electronic hardware, and/or software development.
- Experience designing, constructing, and performing testing programs in a laboratory setting and using electrical test and development equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, multimeters and soldering equipment.
- Competence with at least one common scientific programming language such as Python, C/C++, or MATLAB.
- Ability to work both independently and in multidisciplinary teams and the ability to support multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collect, organize, and analyze information and convey technical conclusions to diverse audiences.
- Experience with simulation or design software such as MATLAB/Simulink, COMSOL, PCB design, and SPICE circuit simulation environments.
