The ideal candidate will enjoy working with external auditors as well as DCEO staff to draft and implement Corrective Action Plans successfully. We invite individuals who have audit liaisoning, auditing or monitoring experience to apply.Essential Functions
- Advises agency wide staff on policy and procedures related to implementation of corrective action plans.
- Participates in the external Agency audit process including entrance and exit conferences.
- Evaluates management and financial controls of programs, functions and offices of the Department.
- Assists in the review of external agency audit reports for the Department.
- Drafts, reviews, identifies and recommends changes to policies and procedures for the Audit and Resolution Section.
- Performs other duties as assigned are required which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college, supplemented by a master's degree in business or public administration, with coursework in areas such as economic theory, accounting and finance, organizational theory, and operations research.
- Requires three (3) years progressively responsible professional experience in management operations analysis.
- Prefers two (2) years of collaborating with internal and/or external auditors.
- Prefers two (2) years' experience identifying root causes of audit related problems and developing sustainable solutions to address those problems.
- Prefers two (2) years' experience analyzing business procedures and techniques for the purpose of developing more efficient processes.
- Prefers intermediate knowledge of the concepts and techniques of personnel, organization, and management analysis.
- Prefers two (2) years' experience collaborating with staff and management to plan and carry out evaluation studies.
- Requires completion of a background check and self-disclosure of criminal history.
- Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties, with overnight stays as appropriate. Requires appropriate, valid driver’s license.
- Overtime is a condition of employment, and you may be requested or required/mandated to work overtime including scheduled, unscheduled, or last-minute overtime. This may require the ability to work evenings and weekends.
