- Lead and manage all resources in the district, ensure proper coverage of customers in select markets
- Track performance for all territories, set quarterly goals and activities for each territory and track execution
- Deploy pricing strategies to maximize margins and spread performance
- Input to Region budget process
- Develop strategic contacts with key personnel at select end customer accounts and engineering firms.
- Active participant in weekly pricing calls and monthly staff meetings
- Set goals for Manufacturer Reps and distribution partners and track performance using a scorecard
- Create a motivational team environment to deliver the financial results for the district
- Set an operating rhythm in the district to ensure timely and concise communication with all channels
- Train, lead, coach direct reports, conduct performance reviews and succession planning
- Follows company policies, ethics and compliance guidelines
- 3-5 years of experience in telecom/datacom/power utility industry, outside plant construction, HDPE, fiber Optics, technical field
- 3-5 years of Inside/Outside hands-on sales experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Able to design and execute reports and presentations
- Able to interpret technical information and translate into common terminology
- Experience in Salesforce or CRM sales tools/system experience to maintain current account contracts, account planning, project tracking, and forecasting
- Able to stay abreast of market and industry trends and provide feedback on competition, market trends and pricing levels and identify products or solutions to expand our portfolio to deliver more value to your customers
- Must work well in a team-oriented environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements, while also being able to work independently, prioritize workload, and handle multipole tasks simultaneously
- Proven leadership experience (at least 3 years of management level)
- Experience of being accountable for a budget, manage/develop a budget, forecast, strategize plan to hit the budget, strategize plan for success, track performance for all territories, set quarterly goals and activities for each territory and track execution
- Organize/Plan/Execute/Attend/Lead customer meetings, events, showcases, tradeshows
- Manage sales activities- daily/monthly/annual (quotes, RFQ/RFP, day-to-day sales activities, opportunity management, pricing, customer presentation/packet, lead creation, relation management, client visits)
- Co-ordinating market approach with in-place sales agents
- Develop and execute strategies for the Region
- Collaborate with all resources in the district
