Arlington VAMUST:
3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
2+ years administering infusions as an Infusion Nurse
Knowledge of chemotherapy medications and experience in the oncology field a plus
Ability to monitor patients under chemotherapy
Knowledge of reimbursements and charges
Ability to perform venipuncture and access ports
Strong documentation skills
Oncology certification or willing to get ONC certified
Knowledge of chemo drugs
Knowledge of community resources
CPR certification required
Bachelor's Degree preferredDUTIES:
The Duties of the Infusion Nurse include but are not limited to the following:
Draw blood
Assess Ports and maintains central venous access to administer infusions
Perform chemotherapy infusions
Assists physician with exams and procedures
Monitor patients under chemotherapy
Process reimbursements .
Documents care and notes in EMR
Oversee clinical staff
Perform phone triage over the phone and provide patient and family education
