  • Responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, orderliness, and appearance of the entire property.
  • managing housekeeping staff.
  • Ensure that rooms are made as per company standard.
  • Maintain all supplies, cleaning supplies, linen, and uniforms.
  • Organize inventories with Accounts for linen, uniform and fixed assets.
  • Pay particular attention while organizing pest eradication activities.
  • Develop and implement housekeeping systems and procedures
  • Prepare reports for management information.
  • Assist Purchase department in selecting suppliers for items related to Housekeeping.
  • Organize on-the job training and evaluate its effectiveness.
  • Assist the Director with the implementation of all SOPs for the department.
  • Recommend recruitment of new personnel.
  • Visually inspects Guest Rooms to ensure they are vacant/clean for arriving guest
  • Daily inspection of scope of work within the property – guestrooms, public areas and BOH areas
  • Daily briefing of department (daily standup).
  • Coordinating the preventive maintenance schedule of rooms and public area with maintenance department.
  • Manage labor by basing schedule off of occupancy and business need
  • Review time and attendance a minimum of once per week
  • Approve timecards prior to payroll processing
  • Coach & counsel Team Members when required
  • Job Requirements
  • Previous management experience
  • must be resourceful, highly self-motivated, possess a strong work ethic and sense of urgency, exceptional written/verbal communication skills, and be able to guide, coach and direct leaders, teams and individuals to achieve financial objectives
  • Previous customer service experience, preferably in a hotel or related establishment preferred
  • Identification verifying you are at least 18 years of age
  • The ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • The ability to lift, pull, and push moderate weight (minimum of 20 lbs.)
