Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A
Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A that will play a critical role in supporting strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis across the organization. This role partners closely with business units to deliver actionable insights, drive financial discipline, and support executive decision-making.Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with business units and budget owners to develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
  • Provide detailed financial reporting and variance analysis, including monthly and quarterly performance packages.
  • Lead monthly financial review meetings with stakeholders, translating complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Support capital planning, product line profitability analysis, and headcount forecasting.
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entry reclassifications and variance explanations.
  • Prepare presentations and materials for Executive Team and Board of Directors meetings.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and operational decisions.
  • Develop and enhance financial models, planning tools, and reporting processes.
  • Educate business partners on financial processes, tools, and requirements to foster financial accountability.
  • Evaluate new business cases for financial feasibility and ROI.
  • Track and validate outcomes of prior investments and business cases.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects.
Qualifications:
Education & Certifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required.
  • MBA, MAC, or CPA (or CPA candidate) preferred.
Experience:
  • 4+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis or a related role.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite) and planning tools (e.g., Workday Adaptive).
  • Strong background in financial statement analysis, cost allocations, and project budgeting.
Technical Skills:
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, IF statements; macros a plus).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook).
  • Strong financial modeling and data analysis capabilities.
