
Industrial Electrician

- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and controls used in printing and finishing operations.
- Troubleshoot electrical and electronic issues on presses, conveyors, motors, drives, PLCs, and control panels.
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics to diagnose and resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA, and facility safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and parts usage.
- Collaborate with production supervisors, machine operators, and maintenance team members to resolve technical problems quickly.
- Support facility projects including equipment installations, upgrades, and plant electrical improvements.
- Assist with maintaining backup power systems, lighting, and energy management controls.
- Participate in continuous improvement and energy efficiency initiatives.
- Other job related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a certified electrician apprenticeship program preferred.
- State-issued Journeyman or Master Electrician license (as required by local jurisdiction).
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience within a printing facility, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, motors, VFDs, control systems, and instrumentation.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- Familiarity with safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and industrial electrical codes.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production setting.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Manufacturing/printing facility with exposure to noise, ink/chemicals, and moving machinery.
