Job Title: Controls EngineerJob DescriptionCurrently seeking a skilled and motivated Controls Engineer to support advanced manufacturing operations, including fineblanking, stamping, and automation systems. This role is critical to maintaining and improving the performance, reliability, and safety of our production equipment and processes.Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement control systems for automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and motion control systems, primarily using Allen-Bradley and Siemens.
  • Integrate and maintain robotic systems, such as Fanuc and ABB, used in production lines.
  • Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineering teams to support new equipment installations and upgrades.
  • Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for control system failures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on process optimization and equipment reliability.
  • Maintain documentation for control systems, including schematics, programs, and change logs.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Controls Engineering or a related automation field.
  • Experience in the automotive industry with a strong understanding of manufacturing environments.
  • Proficient in programming Allen-Bradley PLCs (RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000).
  • Hands-on experience with robotic automation systems, particularly with FANUC robots.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in controls engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens preferred).
  • Experience with HMI development and robotic integration.
  • Strong understanding of industrial automation, sensors, actuators, and safety systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in cross-functional teams.
