Your responsibilities will include:Monitoring and maintaining system health across distributed environmentsTroubleshooting hardware, software, and network issuesSustaining and optimizing storage systemsCollaborating with hardware, software, security, and infrastructure teamsAutomating tasks and managing configurations using tools like Puppet, Bash, and PythonProviding after-hours support as needed for mission-critical issuesEnsuring compliance with system security requirementsParticipating in system design and architecture discussionsMaintaining system scripts, patching software, and managing user accountsKeeping accurate hardware and system inventoriesWho You Are:You’re a proactive, skilled Linux system administrator with a strong background in:Operational troubleshooting of cloud-based systems and large-scale distributed clustersTools such as Hadoop, Accumulo, and experience managing cloud infrastructureScripting and automation using Bash, Python, or other scripting languagesConfiguration management with Puppet (or similar tools)You understand that requirements can shift quickly and are ready to adapt in real time to global operational needs.Why Peraton?At Peraton, you won’t just maintain systems—you’ll safeguard missions.
