- Lead and Support of the plant HSE Managers / Coordinators in administration of the Health, Safety and environmental compliance programs
- Support the facility HSE Coordinators by overseeing completion and submittal of claim, incident, medical, data and any related documentation to insurance providers in support of the Division Worker's Compensation Program
- Maintain current level of knowledge on applicable government, industry and corporate guidelines
- Monitoring employee exposure to workplace hazards and bring solutions to improve the working conditions through active workstation and task evaluations deploying company and industry standards for machine safety, ergonomics, environmental exposures and other areas of focus as needed
- Review and validate machinery safety specifications and equipment with program team engineers, vendors and plants to ensure safe new equipment process and lessons learned are integrated from prior events
- Support the various functions in the successful completion of new and revised program launches
- Review Chemical changes with applicable regulatory requirements and potential impact to plant activity
- Work with the Division Lead HSE Systems Auditor to perform plant audits and support implementation of Division Environmental Managements System
- Lead and/or participate in plant audits and inspections and follow up on recommendations with the plants through review of facility incident report, recordkeeping and treatment files; health, safety & loss prevention programs; environmental legal & other requirements in support of the ISO14001 Environmental Management System
- Analyzing statistical data to determine trends and corrective actions
- Prepare and present briefings, action plans and reports as needed
- Participate in Faurecia's HSE network and HSE reporting for the Faurecia group
- Monitor and support plants in the reporting of HSE indicators (OSHA Injury/illness rates, Company frequency rate metrics, periodic environmental data, etc.)
- Conduct safety evaluations of new or relocated machinery
- Evaluate and recommend improvement on ergonomic practices and workstation assessment
- Assist with any additional tasks as assigned by the company
- Performing routine and special workplace audits
- Participate in the design, and implementation of appropriate training programs
- Propose continuous improvement ideas in business efficiency and cost reduction
- Capitalizes on knowledge and shares best practices / lessons learned across organization and within the site
- Support the leadership and commitment from top management according to the NAO environmental policy and ISO 14001
- Commitment to the highest ethical standards and adherence to:
- All other duties as assigned by the company
- General knowledge of automotive production plant technologies
- Current U.S. passport or ability to obtain
- Ability to travel 70%
- Proficient level of English, with French or Spanish as a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Safety or Environment engineering, or related field
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Machine Safety Expert (CMSE) or other similar designation
- 8 years overall HSE experience with 5 years' experience in a manufacturing facility or other industrial environment
- Experience with HSE audits, ISO 14001, ISO45001 management systems
- Lead Auditor ISO14001 EMS:2015
