- Primary focus in the field, actively calling on architects, lighting designers, and end-users. Through this sales activity significantly increases Leviton’s visibility with the specification community.
- Attain a market position whereby Leviton brands are the basis of design.
- Work closely with L&C controls and national account sales teams to provide technical and specification support for project opportunities.
- Develop new business in appropriate markets and verticals using leads and targeting data provided by Marketing and Sales Operations support.
- Gain specifications for new products that ensure accelerated revenue for Leviton.
- Collaborating with Director of Sales, develop and execute a quarterly action plan for the assigned territory.
- Become a valued resource to customers by providing industry and Continuing Education training in addition to product launch and application training.
- Work with the product management team to provide market feedback on the current and existing product roadmap.
- Track sales activities, opportunities and specifiable projects with CRM tools for coordination of information across Leviton’s sales channels.
- Maintain a high level of technical competence with all L&C products, applications, codes and industry certification programs.
- Support training and training of L&C key agent salespeople in coordination with Regional Sales Managers.
- Communicate market intelligence and competitor activities to Management and Product Development team.
- Actively participate in IES, NAILD, and other industry association meetings, events, and Trade Shows
- Host events at Leviton LIVE centers.
- Must be able to build relationships and interact with all levels of the organization as it relates to architects, lighting designers, and end users.
- Must have strong presentation skills to develop and deliver detailed application, product, and technical application presentations.
- Understanding of the Microsoft suite of products including MS Dynamics, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or affiliated field
- 10 years experience in lighting and design
- LC Certified
- Member of the IES, LEED AP or equivalent.
