Department OverviewThe overall purpose of this position is to provide customers with the goods and services needed to perform the functions of their jobs and support the OHSU mission of healing, teaching, and discovery.Staff in this position frequently communicate with internal Logistics staff to identify and resolve problems. The primary duties are focus on maintaining the general Warehouse areas, supporting Logistics Staff, and kitting of supplies as needed.Function/Duties of PositionMaintains a clean, safe, and efficient working environment; Shelves: ensures shelves are undamaged, clean, neat, and properly marked with product information. Helps ensure signage is present and up to date. Housekeeping: ensures the warehouse is clean, inventory is packaged and labeled properly, and non-stock products are neatly arranged. Facilities: ensures facility deficiencies are reported to the Warehouse Manager. Equipment: provides proper care is used when operating or using equipment and regular maintenance services to equipment are performed, logs and reports deficiencies to management.
  • Performs functions as necessary to ensure required daily tasks are completed on time, and sufficiently, to meet the customer's needs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to ensure day-to-day efficient operation of the Logistics Department supply chain.
  • Maintains knowledge of, adheres to, and knows the locations for, departmental policy, procedure, safety, and MSDS manuals.

Required Qualifications
  • Must be enrolled in or on vacation from or otherwise registered in a high school, college undergraduate program (minimum 6 credit hours), or college or university graduate program (minimum of 4.5 credit hours).
