
Maintenance Technician

- Effectively communicate with crew from previous and current shifts.
- Work closely with production Supervisors, line leaders and production crews to answer questions and receive as much information as possible to perform the work successfully.
- Efficiently repair/replace valves and pumps (seals, steams, O rings, seats, bearings, etc.)
- Effectively perform electrical wiring (switches, outlets, starter, motor leads, etc.).
- Effectively perform sanitary welding and moderate pipe fitting (stainless, copper, pvc, etc.).
- Perform utility inspections (boilers, air systems, WWTP, water systems, ammonia, HVAC, security, etc.), adjusting as needed.
- Effectively update and install equipment.
- Efficiently perform regular and preventative maintenance related to the plant, equipment, and grounds in compliance with standard operating procedures, good manufacturing practices, and safety policies as enforced by OSHA.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment during the packaging/production process as needed.
- Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs.
- Work closely with production to minimize downtime while maintaining quality.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all plant area processes.
- Accurately read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders.
- Complete and update work orders using in-house systems. (Little Chute & Weyauwega only)
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of all plant area processes.
- Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices.

- Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
- Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
- Support safety policies and programs.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 2 to 5 years of experience
- Maintenance/repair experience or training required.
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude required.
