We're seeking a future team member for the role of SVP Data management to join our team. This role is located in New York, NY or Lake Mary, Florida. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: Oversee the development of statistical, financial, and/or econometric models for analyzing asset performance, client reference data, securities data, derivative pricing, risk exposure, or other sophisticated concepts. Provide analytical and project leadership for assigned area, performing advanced, complex statistical and quantitative analyses. Collaborate and recommend to management techniques and methodologies to be used for each type of activity/analysis. Lead data modeling and quantitative analysis projects, serving as a resource to less experienced colleagues. Use technology applications to conduct complex analyses, applying techniques such as SQL, querying, and macro development to extract data for populating models and presenting to management. Program system configuration to set up sophisticated models or algorithms and partner with management to evaluate and select the most appropriate technologies. Demonstrate deep understanding of relevant products in assigned area and which analyses, methodologies, and approaches best support assessment of performance, risk, or valuation. Lead complex advanced projects supporting new or evolving processes/products or initiatives with cross-functional or enterprise-wide impact. Formulate findings, prepare ad-hoc reports, and deliver results to management and other leaders, providing recommendations for addressing observed outcomes. Translate complex technical concepts and analyses to non-technical audiences. Ensure accuracy of reports and calculations performed by less experienced colleagues and provide guidance when appropriate. Provide work oversight to less experienced analysts and input into their performance assessments. To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced degree in quantitative analysis preferred. 10+ years total work experience preferred. Experience in quantitative finance and technology preferred. No formal supervisory responsibility but experience providing work oversight and mentorship to less experienced colleagues is desirable. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $102,000 and $195,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
