State: Virginia (US-VA)The Role at a glance:Design Cuisine is seeking a new Beverage Manager to join our Dining & Events team! The Beverage Manager will be responsible for directing and supervising the purchasing and management of all non and alcoholic beverages, managing all of Design Cuisine and Brompton Group alcohol event orders in VA, MD and DC.What you'll be doing:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Control beverage costs
- Conduct monthly inventory of alcohol and soft beverage
- Fulfill orders, Inventory and storage of Alcoholic beverages from events in Va
- Daily management of DC events, orders, consumption reports, billing.
- Creation and management of specialty cocktail programs working with sales teams
- Quarterly inventory
- Daily storage organization and dead stock utilization
- Establish and document ordering/storage and restocking processes, and train team members on established processes.
- Actively update house brands, keeping current with market trends and identifying new product trends
- Other duties may be assigned.
- The Beverage Director has supervision over subordinate receiver/event staff beverage management. Attend larger events to oversee the management of the alcohol and to make sure company standards are maintained.

- High school diploma or general education degree(GED)
- Three to Five years related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to effectively present information one-on-one and small group situations to clients, and other employees of the company
- Ability to add, subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide 10`s and 100`s
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with one occasional or no variables
- Valid State Issued Drivers license, ABRA and VA and DC beverage mgr licenses(to be obtained upon employment if not current)
