Maintenance Mechanic

- Strong mechanical and pipefitting skills.
- Experience operating and maintaining steam boilers, heating equipment and compressors.
- Ability to read and work from blueprints.
- Ability to follow safe work practices and standard operation procedures.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and climb ladders.
- Adhere to all company safety and BSP requirements
- Install piping, tubing, and related devices.
- Perform mechanical maintenance on a variety of building and process equipment.
- Perform building maintenance with plumbing, piping, etc.
- Maintain and operate water treatment equipment.
- Operate and maintain steam and heating boilers.
- Maintain compressed air equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Develop procedures for preventive maintenance tasks when applicable.
- Occasionally assist with contractor management on site.
- Some HVAC experience and maintenance activities a plus.
- Assist other maintenance technicians with maintenance tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and accredited trade school diploma/ certificate are required.
- A 2-year technical degree in Mechanical and Industrial trade is preferred but is not required.
- Relative experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 5 years’ minimum industrial maintenance experience is required.
- Military training will be considered as equivalent to industrial experience
- Availability to work Monday-Friday day shift, 7:00am - 3:30pm.
