
Senior Engineer - RAMP IROC

- Lead the integration of predictive maintenance technologies (e.g., IoT sensors, machine learning models) and translate technical findings into operational and/or maintenance strategies.
- Provide guidance to Operational Improvement (OI) teams with respect to predictive maintenance, equipment health, maintenance strategies, and data analysis, ensuring alignment with reliability and operational goals.
- Analyze and interpret User Defined Events (UDEs), including OEM alarms and data signals, to recommend process improvements and/or prevent catastrophic equipment failures thus supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Translate technical insights into RAMP (Remote Asset Monitoring Process) specifications and support the design of equipment and systems for metals processing applications.
- Ensure QA/QC of maintenance practices and pre-maintenance activities to align with reliability standards and operational excellence frameworks.
- Manage the IROC remote maintenance monitoring team and oversee supervision, ensuring effective asset monitoring, proactive maintenance interventions, and implementation of technical recommendations.
- Conduct root cause analysis, FMEA, and coordinate with engineering, operations, and suppliers to eliminate defects and system constraints, and optimize asset performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline and five (5) years related experience in engineering or related field; OR
- Master’s degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline and three (3) years related experience in engineering or related field.
- Expertise in reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), predictive analytics, and condition monitoring.
- Strong understanding of Remote Asset Monitoring Process (RAMP),
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Ability to interpret complex technical data and communicate actionable insights to cross-functional teams.
- Proven leadership in managing remote or cross-site maintenance teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with AI, robotics, and autonomous systems in industrial environments.
- Strong understanding architecture, data integration, and performance optimization.
- Strong understanding of asset performance management (APM)
- Strong communication skills to translate technical findings into actionable maintenance strategies, coupled with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive change in maintenance culture and practices.
