Fellowship offers a comprehensive continuum of services that include Independent Living, Personal Care, Skilled Nursing, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Memory Support - all in our beautiful senior living community.What does a Per-Diem Grounds Person do?As a Grounds Person at Fellowship Community, you'll play a crucial role in creating and maintaining a beautiful outdoor environment for our Fellowship Community. Your responsibilities will include caring for the grounds, trees, shrubs, lawns, and flower beds, ensuring they flourish in harmony with the community's spirit. Collaborating closely with the Nursing Staff and residents, you'll enrich their experience by providing a serene and inviting landscape. Your work will be guided by established policies and procedures set forth by the VP of Facilities Engineering, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. By embodying our Mission and RISE Core Values, you'll foster a culture of excellence and stewardship while making a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve.What we're looking for in a Per-Diem Grounds PersonTo excel as a Grounds Person at Fellowship Community, candidates should possess a blend of essential skills and qualifications. A solid understanding of federal, state, and local skilled nursing regulations is crucial, along with basic computer skills to communicate effectively. A valid Pennsylvania Driver's License and a safe driving record are necessary to facilitate grounds maintenance. Applicants should have a familiarity with caring for lawns, trees, shrubs, and flowers, ensuring the outdoor spaces remain vibrant and healthy. Experience in maintaining lawn and garden equipment is also valuable.As physical demands are a key aspect of the role, the ability to lift, push, pull, and position heavy objects is essential. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required, and your work ethic should reflect the RISE Core Values and commitment to outstanding customer service. Successful completion of Fellowship Community Orientation and meeting pre-hire assessment requirements are also mandatory.Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
  • ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS / CREDENTIALS
  • Basic knowledge of federal state and local skilled nursing regulations.
  • Basic Computer skills
  • Safe Driving record
  • Knowledge of maintenance of lawns, trees, shrubs, flowers, and the like to ensure healthy and beautiful outdoor surroundings in the Community.
  • Some experience in maintaining lawn and garden equipment.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Must be able to push, pull, move and position heavy objects and supplies on a repeated basis.
  • Must be able to operate maintenance equipment in safe, efficient manner.
  • Must possess valid Pennsylvania Driver's License.

  • Successful completion of Fellowship Community Orientation.
  • Meets the requirements of the Pre-Hire Assessment.
