  • Supervise daily accounting functions, including payroll, general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
  • Oversee internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
  • Review financial records for accuracy and prepare financial statements, reports, and variance analyses.
  • Coordinate external audits and tax filings, and ensure timely compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Partner with FP&A team to support forecasting, budgeting, and decision-making.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
The Must Haves (Required):
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, internal controls, and audit practices.
  • Excellent management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
The Like to Haves (Not Required):
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
  • Public accounting experience.
  • Familiarity with Deltek ERP software (Vantagepoint or Vision).
  • Experience in the Architecture, Engineering, or Construction (A/E/C) industry.
