We are searching for those eager to contribute to the work and the culture of our company. ​Job DescriptionOur Purchasing Assistant will play a crucial part in ensuring the success of Circuit Board Medics and its Supply Chain by supporting the Purchasing Department with day-to-day tasks, maintaining records, and facilitating communication with suppliers. This role provides essential administrative and organizational support in a fast-paced environment. A great candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, ability to negotiate with vendors, and be a contributing team player.Responsibilities include:
  • Assist in sourcing components from suppliers based on price, availability, necessity, quality, and logistical expenses
  • Work with Purchasing Team to assess vendors and their offerings as well as assessing the quality of various vendor’s products
  • Coordinate with shipping agencies and sellers to ensure timely deliveries of goods
  • Review reports for OOS (out of stocks) and expedites open orders
  • Review purchase orders and correspond with vendors/suppliers
  • Monitor price increases and communicate changes as necessary
  • Assist in examining and analyzing purchase requisitions
  • Authorize payments and manage purchasing record keeping with extreme accuracy and in accordance with all accounting guidelines
  • Physically receive cores delivered from suppliers and add them to inventory before dispersal
  • Work alongside our Supply Chain team to handle inventory issues and returns
  • Sell overstock items to core buyers directly and via Ebay
  • Process cores internally so they are ready for use
Qualifications and Skills
  • 1+ years administrative / purchasing experience
  • Proficiency with desktop computer systems
  • Clear and concise communicator, both written and oral
  • Fast learner with a desire to understand the big picture when completing tasks
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Critical thinker and logical problem solver
  • Ability to effectively work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency and follow-through
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
Preferred skills
  • Knowledge of purchasing procedures and practices
  • Knowledge of Monday.com
  • Knowledge of Business Central inventory system
Work Expectations
Circuit Board Medics was founded on, and continues to maintain, a 1-Day Turnaround for standard repairs. This nurtures a fast-paced environment that requires a strong sense of urgency. The typical workday is onsite 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. This role will work in both an office setting as well as in a non-temperature controlled warehouse. Touching, moving, and lifting both new and used products and components is common.Benefits
