• Receives order and sets machine according to factory order specifications
• Loads and unloads coiled steel according to order specifications
• Performs quality checks on a consistent basis
• Loads cut channels onto carts according to order prioritization
• Assists in maintaining machines and equipment
• Runs punch press efficiently
• Stamps channels and other specials as necessary
• Cleans and organizes work area
• Keeps manager aware of steel supplies
• Assists in production inventory
• Performs other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Background in a manufacturing or production environment helpful
• Good mechanical ability
• Some machine operator experience
• Ability to add, subtract, divide, and multiply numbers
• Must be able to use measuring tape
• Must be able to work with a computer/pro scale
• Must be able to stand, bend, and reach with hands and arms
• Must be able to see numbers stamped on channels and have good hand-eye coordination
• The work performed is conducted in a climate-controlled facility with moderate noise levels that are within OSHA limits. PPE requirements include the use of hearing protection while mill is in operation, safety glasses, and steel-toed shoes.
