- Comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and LOTOTO.
- Programming and maintenance of Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) and Human Machine Interface/SCADA (HMI).
- Perform program and schematic version control and archiving.
- Vision systems maintenance, development, and optimization.
- Develop and design machine controls for automation machines, upgrades to our current standard machines, line modifications, and additions.
- Practice effective communication and cross-functional networking promoting team work.
- Utilize and apply knowledge of:
- Electric/Electronic Control Circuitry.
- Sensors, Encoders, and Instruments.
- Motors and Electronic Drives.
- Able to provide and assist with Technical Writing in English.
- Provide guidance and instructions to Technicians and Mechanics.
- Specifying and reviewing technical aspects of contracts and projects.
- Provide support for all plant Automation, Process, and Robotic Systems.
- Support in validation activities and improvements.
- Support Lead Automation Engineer and Supervisor.
- Analyze technician-generated documents such as inventory usage and maintenance software to spot trends that could point to opportunities to solve long-term problems.
- Ability to work on multiple projects independently and as a team.
- Bachelor's Degree from an Engineering, Technical School or equivalent experience & ability.
- At least three years of related experience.
- Detail oriented, rigorous, analytical, reactive and good interpersonal skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to work on complex machinery and systems within a pharmaceutical environment.
- An understanding of and ability to work with high-level computer technology.
- Competent skills with PC's, networking, device communications, integration and design.
- Highly energetic, self-motivated, able to work well with others.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to accept feedback, constructive criticism and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in faced-passed environment.
- Worked and operated assembly machinery and computers in a Clean Room Environment.
- Excellent written and verbal skills in English.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
- Able to regularly and frequently stand, walk and bend during performance of essential duties.
- Physically capable of the required work including but not limited to: extensive use of manual dexterity, ability to grip, firmly hold, turn and practice strong hand coordination in order to troubleshoot, service and repair industrial equipment and use hand tools to perform the same.
- Understands and practices safe working procedures. Observes safety rules and policies; brings to managements' attention any unsafe acts or conditions.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Basic knowledge of tools for machine intervention.
- Basic understanding of production line mechanics and troubleshooting.
- Able to communicate clearly with support staff.
- Ability to continuously practice and follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Willing to gown for the purpose of entering cleanrooms.
- Willing to use required personal protective equipment (PPE) while satisfying all work requests.
- Ability to recognize and abate safety hazards.
