- Lead and supervise inspection activities across all phases of the MOE Facility Project.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as project specifications and safety standards.
- Monitor construction activities including roof, HVAC system, and lighting replacement; rehabilitation of bathrooms, locker rooms, lunch rooms, and support areas; shop painting; fall arrest system installation on Track 44; Track 44 extension and overhead door installation; security camera system expansion; IT infrastructure upgrades; bug and stinger system upgrades; emergency power system and boiler installation; car wash and dumpster pad improvements; parking lot and pavement repairs; electrical room and rectifier transformer replacement; retaining wall construction and storm sewer connections; site drainage, lighting, and toilet manifold system improvements; Hill Yard shelter enhancements.
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and CTDOT personnel to ensure project milestones are met.
- Maintain detailed inspection records and prepare reports on construction progress and quality.
- Identify and resolve issues that may impact project timelines or quality.
- Ensure proper implementation of environmental and right-of-way permits.
- Extensive experience in railroad construction inspection and project oversight.
- In-depth knowledge of railroad maintenance facilities and infrastructure systems.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Familiarity with federal and state funding requirements and documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- NICET Level IV certification in Transportation/Construction or equivalent.
- EIT (Engineer-in-Training) certification or PE (Professional Engineer) license.
