The goal of a Project Manager at Wisk is to manage Wisk's Operation Validation Program to demonstrate and validate how our technologies interact with other elements of the existing aviation ecosystem, to achieve company priorities and to collate a company wide view of our requirements and identify appropriate testing and demonstration opportunities to build credibility with the FAA. You will be part of the Global Air Operations team that validates the integration of our ConOps, systems and technology into the NAS. This role will support our integration with Vertiports, PSU, etc.Why we need you:
  • The successful candidate is an experienced project manager, looking for an opportunity to lead a wide variety of efforts related to the overall integration of the Wisk autonomous aircraft into the National Airspace System (NAS). In this role, the candidate must be excellent at building relationships both internally and externally, with teams including Engineering, Certification, Airline, Global Partnerships, Flight test teams, as well as coordination with FAA, NASA and other agencies.
What you will do:
  • As part of the Global Air Operations team, and deployed in the Operations Validation Program you will act as a Project Manager for a novel type of aircraft development targeting the autonomous UAM market
  • You will take part in developing test artifacts to demonstrate how our autonomous aircraft will be integrated into the NAS in alignments with the Wisk Operations Validation Roadmap
  • You will help support problem solving activities by managing specific projects within the Operations Validation program
  • You will help coordinate project controls to track progress against the Operations Validation Program plans
  • You will take part in developing data requirements and conducting data analysis to communicate key findings from the operations validation efforts
  • In some areas, you will be working closely with FAA and NASA and other external partners
  • You will prepare and present project reports, status updates, and performance metrics to senior leadership and key stakeholders
What you have done:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline, mathematics or physics with at least 5 years of industry experience
  • You have worked on various projects and have strong project management experience, with experience with FAA and NASA projects strongly desired
  • You have worked on previous projects related to AAM, with a good understanding of how AAM will operate in the NAS including a thorough awareness of the role vertiport, PSU, ATC will
have demonstrated your ability to work independently, with strong organizational skillsDesired:
  • You are familiar with system engineering principles
  • You have an awareness of the FAA NextGen and NASA programs, including the Info-Centric NAS (ICN), eXtensible Traffic Management (xTM), as well as the NASA Air Traffic Management eXploration (ATM-X) and Air Mobility Pathfinder (AMP) projects.
