
Superintendent-Commercial Roofing

- Manage and coordinate daily field operations for commercial roofing projects.
- Supervise and support foremen and field crews to ensure work is performed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with local codes and company standards.
- Monitor project progress, labor costs, material usage, and overall job performance to ensure adherence to project budgets and schedules.
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Project Coordinators on scheduling, material deliveries, equipment needs, and manpower allocation.
- Ensure foremen receive all necessary job documentation, plans, and scopes of work prior to project start.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications; perform field measurements and project take-offs as needed.
- Maintain a strong on-site presence and participate in meetings with clients, building owners, engineers, and general contractors.
- Identify and resolve field-related issues, make timely decisions, and effectively manage unforeseen conditions.
- Enforce job site safety policies and OSHA compliance, promoting a culture of safety and accountability.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and communication logs.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the roofing division.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Superintendent in the commercial roofing industry.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial roofing systems including single-ply, modified bitumen, cold/hot applied systems, and metal roofing.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, architectural plans, and technical specifications.
- Proficient in labor scheduling, inventory management, and cost control.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to interface professionally with internal teams, clients, and third-party contractors.
- Competency in basic computer applications and project management tools.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- OSHA 10/30 certification
- Spanish-speaking proficiency is preferred but not required.
- Must be available to travel to job sites across the region.
- Occasional early morning, evening, or weekend work may be required depending on project needs.
- Physical ability to walk job sites, climb ladders, and perform inspections in varying weather conditions.
