Class DescriptionThe purpose of this class is to provide departmental leadership and direction consistent with the strategic vision of assigned division and the mission of the College.Minimum RequirementsMaster's degree and at least three (3) years of experience developing and administering continuing education programs for youth and adults, including at least three years of experience in a supervisory role.Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field.   • Provide direct supervision and evaluation to assigned staff.
  • Develop and manage operating budget for assigned unit college-wide, as required.
  • Recruit, select, supervise, advise, train and coach assigned staff.
  • Establish goals and objectives for operations consistent with CCBC's mission.
  • Monitor compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Oversee unit projects and initiatives.
  • Represent the college at networking events, affinity groups, and business and industry associations.
  • Develop and manage operating budget for Community Education.
  • Lead the business development efforts of the unit in the area of contract training partnerships.
Position Specific Essential Duties
  • Provide leadership, direction and support to assigned staff in the delivery of high quality, Continuing Education courses and programs.
  • Accurately forecast and track revenue and expenses.
  • Participant in outreach and recruitment activities.
  • Develop, manage, market, and evaluate Community Education courses and programs.
  • Initiate, develop and monitor training contracts with businesses and agencies.
  • Research, analyze and communicate financial, marketing, and enrollment data.
  • Establish, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including other departments in the college, other community colleges, industry professionals, and organizations in order to maintain quality instruction and programming.
  • Provide leadership in educational strategies designed to reach a diverse student body.
  • Communicate with and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies (local, state, and national) that oversee accreditation of programming.

The Roth 403(b) savings feature allows employees to contribute after-tax dollars and then withdraw tax-free dollars from their account upon retirement. The Roth 403(b) savings feature is only offered by the following vendors: TIAA-CREF and VOYA Financial Advisors, Inc. Adjunct Faculty, Part Time Associates and Full Time employees are eligible to save for retirement using the Roth 403(b) savings feature.
