SummaryOur client, a leading mechanical contractor with nearly a century of excellence in customer service and employee ownership, is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Construction Project Manager for their San Diego, CA location. Known for maintaining the highest safety standards and delivering exceptional quality, our client specializes in design/build services, sustainable solutions, commercial HVAC, advanced mechanical and industrial system installations, and cutting-edge building information modeling (BIM). This role will be responsible for managing mechanical construction projects safely, on time, and within budget across various sectors, including Healthcare, Life Sciences, Commercial, and Industrial markets.Duties & ResponsibilitiesLead project lifecycle: preconstruction/design-assist, execution, and close-outEnsure safety and productivity of field personnelManage project schedules, budgets, cash flow, projections, and reportingOversee material/equipment procurement and change order administrationMaintain quality assurance and contract complianceServe as primary liaison for owners, clients, subcontractors, and vendorsHandle project financial outcomes, cost control, and billingMentor and manage project teams and direct reportsEnforce company operating policies, procedures, and safety programsQualifications & Requirements
  • Education & Experience
10+ years in mechanical contracting project management * 5+ years on industrial projects and design-assist rolesProven experience with projects valued $15M–$200MExperience in healthcare, data center, lab, higher education, or semiconductor environmentsBachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering (preferred)
  • Technical & Computer Skills
Proficient with MS Project, Microsoft Office, and ViewpointStrong business math and analytical skills
