We think about the customer and make doing business with McCain easy.Our Maintenance Fabricator Technician will be responsible for maintenance procedures for all maintenance shop equipment, including lubrication, cleanliness, setup, periodic inspections, preventative maintenance procedures from a checklist, minor mechanical adjustments, and equipment/part replacement. This role will require a working schedule of Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.Accountabilities:

Report all equipment failures to appropriate supervisors in writing and verbally.
Maintain machine tools in proper operational condition.
Maintain an orderly and sanitary work area at all times.
Utilize SAP computer maintenance system.
Prepare, read, write and understand reports and correspondence.
Evaluate machining procedures and recommend changes or modifications for improved efficiency or adaptability.
Advise others on ways to improve processes or products.
Strictly adhere to company and plant policies concerning safety, performing proper lock-out/tag-out procedures, using proper lifting technique, wearing proper protective equipment related to duties.
Adhere to all company and plant policies related to GMP’s and JSA’s on shop equipment.
Perform maintenance by use of hand tools, power tools, and fabricating equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance per standard procedures.
Perform basic electrical troubleshooting, with the use of appropriate electrical measuring instruments and electrical schematics.
Perform basic hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting
Perform basic welding procedures, such as straight welds, by MIG welding and/or Arc welding
Perform all fabrication tasks utilizing the vertical mill, lathe, sheet metal brake, shear, band saw, and shaper..
Machine parts to specifications, using machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders.

Design fixtures, tooling, or experimental parts to meet special engineering needs.
Design tools, fixtures, or other devices for production equipment.
Prepare working sketches for the illustration of product appearance.
Create diagrams or blueprints for work pieces or products.

Qualifications:

High School or GED diploma
Related experience, Certification, and/or Associate Degree in the Mechanical field are highly preferred.
Must have demonstrable prior knowledge of refrigeration, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, and troubleshooting techniques.

Skills:

Must have the ability to read and interpret company policy and procedure, safety rules, equipment operation, and maintenance instructions.
Must have the ability to prepare and write routine reports and correspondence.
