The Aperture / WorkSpaces Team provides the highest caliber Operational Solutions and Cleared Support for WorkSpaces services within ADC Regions. We provide 'hands on keyboard' support to commercial service teams by deploying changes into these isolated regions, monitoring the results, and reporting any issues that are observed. Amazon WorkSpaces is a fully managed, secure Desktop-as-a-Service (DAAS) solution that provides virtual-desktops running on the Windows or Linux Operating Systems.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Arlington, VA, USA | Herndon, VA, USABASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Associate's degree, or Cloud+ or GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional) or GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials) or SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner)
- 3+ years of systems administration experience Linux/Unix (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat, Solaris etc) in production environments.
- 1+ years of experience working with scripting languages (Bash, Shell, Python).
- Experience with DNS, DHCP, SSH, HTTP, TCP/IP and other common network protocolsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Proficiency in one or more scripting languages (Bash, Python, Ruby, Perl)
- Experience developing distributed service applications & developing user experiences scenarios
- Excellent analytical ability and communications skills
- Strong interpersonal relationship skills
- Working experience and good understanding of the AWS environment, including VPC, EC2, EBS, S3, SQS, Cloud Formation and Lambda.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and identify the root cause of issues.
- A history of dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering measurable results in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with maintaining distributed systems and web services
- Automation, testing or monitoring framework development
- Experience in a 24x7 production environment, esp. one based on Linux
- Meets/exceeds Amazon's leadership principles requirements for this role
