- Outside Sales Experience: Experience in door-to-door sales or other outside sales experience, such as HVAC, water mitigation, solar, etc., are important to be successful in this role. Other sales skills, such as prospecting, upselling, active listening, and business acumen, are also advantageous.
- Pest Control Experience: Previous experience in pest control, sales, or customer-facing roles is preferred. Knowledge of common pests, their behavior, and appropriate treatment methods are also preferred.
- Communication Skills: You will be interacting with customers, team members, and managers frequently, if not daily. Communication skills, particularly empathy, and relationship-building skills are crucial to adequately address problems and concerns in a sustainable and long-term manner.
- Time Management Skills: You will be managing your own pest control route and treatments, as well as contacting the local neighborhood to find new leads. The ability to work independently, effectively manage time, and prioritize tasks are important to your success.
- Daily schedule of 10 AM to 6 PM or 11 AM to 7 PM
- Treat approximately four properties per day
- Conduct thorough inspections of residential and/or commercial properties to identify pest infestations and devise appropriate treatment plans
- Apply safe and effective pest control techniques, including the application of pest sprays and traps, while adhering to safety guidelines
- Communicate clearly with customers about the nature of infestations, the treatment plan, and preventative measures
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, materials used, and client interactions
- Engage with homeowners and business owners in a friendly and informative manner, explaining the benefits of Saela pest control services, addressing questions or concerns, communicating pricing options, and tailoring your approach to the individual needs of each potential client
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both existing and potential clients, focusing on exceptional customer service and understanding their unique pest control needs
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets set by management
- Operate a company vehicle and return home with it after work
- 18 years or older
- Valid driver's license and the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record check
- Physical capability to perform pest control services, such as lifting equipment (up to 50 lbs) or crawling into tight spaces, if necessary
- Clean-shaven due to health and safety purposes
