Rate or rates of pay: $1,020 per credit for undergraduate courses; $1,112 per credit for undergraduate courses after 40 credits are taught within a five-year period; $1,352 per credit for graduate courses. Any future updates to per credit rates of pay will be reflected within the electronic contract.Adjunct-Undergraduate and Graduate Programs, School of Business & TechnologyJob Summary:The School of Business & Technology invites applicants for adjunct faculty for its undergraduate and graduate programs. Adjunct faculty in the fields of management, accounting, finance, computer information systems, project management, marketing, health care management, leadership, ethics, decision sciences, and international business are desired. Adjunct faculty are hired on a course by course basis, in Duluth, St. Paul, St. Cloud and other locations.Key Responsibilities:Adjunct faculty may teach courses in programs for which they are qualified and/or knowledgeable. Courses may be assigned at the graduate or undergraduate level as appropriate and available. Adjunct faculty are responsible for creating a learning and teaching environment for students in accordance with the educational objectives of SB&T. Course text, syllabus and other teaching materials are expected to achieve course and program outcomes as outlined by SB&T. Adjunct faculty may be asked to attend faculty development and in-service meetings and contribute to SB&T as requested on a semester basis. They are expected to maintain published course contact hours and demonstrate commitment to SB&T mission, goals and objectives.Job Qualifications:Applicants must hold a Master’s degree or higher in their field of expertise or a related area. Successful applicants will have previous adult learner teaching experience at the Master’s level and have at least five years business experience. Ability to communicate effectively, to exercise initiative and work for continuous improvement is desired.Demonstrated cross-cultural communication skills, multicultural competency and experience interacting effectively with diverse constituents.Preferred Qualifications:A terminal degree in their field of expertise or a related area. Work experience in international business. Previous online teaching experience is desired, or familiarity with Blackboard, WebCT, eCollege, Desire2Learn or other instructional technology.
