- Perform engineering projects, guest calls, blitzes, and preventive maintenance as directed by resort management.
- Troubleshoot plumbing issues, make repairs, and replace fixtures and piping as needed.
- Diagnose, replace, and repair minor electrical components such as receptacles and ballasts.
- Troubleshoot and repair appliances and household fixtures.
- Understand HVAC systems and perform basic preventive maintenance and diagnostics.
- Repair interior and exterior walls, wall coverings, and ceilings, including texturing, painting, and caulking.
- Repair or replace tiles, grout, vinyl, and carpet as required.
- Work with pools, spas, and water features, including chemical balancing and cleaning tasks.
- Participate actively in procurement and inventory processes to ensure materials and tools are available for work.
- Operate resort operations devices and software effectively (HotSOS and other applicable systems).
- Communicate professionally through radios, phones, emails, and verbal interactions.
- Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks as required by resort management.
- Safely use hand tools, power tools, and battery-powered tools required for the job.
- Work using ladders, scaffolding, lifts, and appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Follow safety guidelines and practices.
- Recognize and identify potential safety hazards on the property.
- Communicate and interpret guest needs through positive interactions toward resolution.
- Adhere to all CFI/Westgate Resorts policies and procedures.
- Always represent Westgate Resorts professionally through appearance, attire, and behavior.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by resort operations leadership.
- High school diploma required.
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in trades and maintenance within a resort or commercial environment.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- CPO (Certified Pool Operator) license as required by the resort.
- Written and verbal communication in English is expected.
- Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work with enthusiasm and focus.
- Strong communication skills required to excel in interactions with guests and colleagues.
- Ability to be versatile, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- Regularly, the team member must lift, move, push, or pull up to 50+ pounds.
- Must communicate effectively with supervisors and resort leadership.
